Policies
These policies apply to every order placed on revaroots.com, whether the product is sold by Revaroots or by a seller on Revaroots. Last updated: 12 October 2026.
Shipping
Where we deliver
[DELIVERY COVERAGE NOTE] Enter your pincode on any product page, or at checkout, to check delivery to your address. We do not ship outside India at present.
Dispatch and delivery time
[DELIVERY TIME BY REGION]. Orders placed on a Sunday or public holiday are packed on the next working day. Delivery times are estimates given by our courier partners. Weather, strikes, local restrictions and festival rush can add a few days.
Delivery charges
Delivery is free on orders of ₹499 or more. Below that, a delivery charge of ₹49 applies. Cash on delivery carries an extra fee of ₹30. The exact charge is shown at checkout before you pay.
Tracking
When your order ships, we send the courier name and tracking number by email, and it appears on your order page. You can also track any order on the track your order page.
Orders from more than one seller
If your order contains products from different sellers, it may arrive in more than one parcel, on different days. Each parcel has its own tracking number.
If delivery fails
The courier tries to deliver up to three times and may call you. If the parcel cannot be delivered because the address was wrong or nobody accepted it, it returns to us. For a prepaid order we then refund the product value, less the delivery charge both ways. Cash on delivery orders refused at the door more than once may lose the option of cash on delivery for future orders.
Receiving your parcel
Please check that the parcel is sealed before you accept it. If it looks opened or crushed, you may refuse it, or accept it and take a photo of the outer box straight away, then raise a request as set out under Returns and replacement.
Returns and replacement
Herbs, powders and seeds are food or consumable products, and oils are sealed personal-care products. For hygiene and safety, we accept returns only when something is wrong with what you received.
What we replace or refund
- A pack that arrives damaged, torn, leaking or tampered with.
- The wrong product, grade or pack size.
- A pack that is short in weight against the net weight on its label, or an item missing from the order.
- A product past its best-before date on arrival.
- A quality problem such as staleness, a rancid taste or smell, mould or insects.
What we cannot take back
- Opened packs returned for a change of mind or a difference in taste preference.
- Natural variation in colour, size or shape within the grade you ordered.
- Requests raised more than 48 hours after delivery.
How to raise a request
- Within 48 hours of delivery, open the order in your account and choose Return or replace, or use the returns page with your order number.
- Choose the items, say what is wrong, and add clear photos of the pack, its label and the problem. For a short-weight claim, add a photo of the unopened pack on a weighing scale.
- Keep the product and its packaging until the request is closed.
We reply within 48 hours. If we need the product back, our courier collects it at no cost to you. For many food issues the photos are enough, and you will not need to send anything back.
Replacement or refund
You can choose a replacement of the same product or a full refund of what you paid for the affected items, including the delivery charge if the whole order was affected. Refunds are made as set out under Cancellation and refunds.
Products sold by other sellers
The same rules apply to products sold by sellers on Revaroots. You raise the request with us, and we handle it with the seller.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancelling an order
You can cancel an order from your account at any time before it ships, at no cost. Once it has shipped, it can no longer be cancelled; if something is wrong when it arrives, use Return or replace on the order page.
We may cancel an order, in full or in part, if a product is out of stock, if a price or product detail was clearly wrong on the website, if delivery is not possible to the address, or if the order appears fraudulent. If we cancel, you are refunded in full.
How refunds are paid
- Paid online (UPI, card, net banking, wallet): the refund goes back to the same account or card you paid with.
- Paid to our UPI ID: the refund goes back to the UPI ID you paid from.
- Cash on delivery: we ask for your UPI ID or bank account details and pay the refund there. We never ask for your card number, PIN or OTP.
When refunds arrive
[REFUND METHOD AND TIME] after the cancellation or return is approved. Banks and card issuers can take a few more working days to show the amount in your statement.
Delivery charges, fees and coupons
On a full cancellation before shipping, or a refund because of our mistake, delivery charges and the cash on delivery fee are refunded too. If only part of an order is refunded, the refund is the amount you actually paid for those items after any discount. Coupon discounts are not paid out in cash. A coupon used on a cancelled order can be used again if it is still valid.
Privacy
This policy explains what personal data Revaroots collects, why, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000. The data fiduciary is [COMPANY NAME AND ADDRESS].
What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, email, mobile number, delivery and billing addresses, GSTIN if you want a business invoice, gift messages, reviews, and messages you send to support.
- Order details: what you bought, how you paid, delivery and return history.
- Payment details: card, UPI and bank payments are handled by our payment gateway, Razorpay. We receive a payment reference and status. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or OTP.
- Device and usage details: browser type, pages visited and the cart you leave on the site. Cookies needed for your cart and sign-in are always on. Analytics and advertising cookies are used only if you choose Accept all in the cookie notice.
Why we use it
- To take, pack, deliver and support your orders, and to handle returns and refunds.
- To send order emails, sign-in codes and replies to your messages.
- To issue GST invoices and keep the records the law requires.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
- With your consent only: offers, cart reminders and personalised recommendations. You can stop marketing emails at any time by writing to [EMAIL].
Who we share it with
Only with those who need it to serve you: the seller who fulfils your order, courier partners (such as Shiprocket and the couriers it uses), the payment gateway (Razorpay), our email and hosting providers, and, with your consent, analytics and advertising services. We share data with government authorities only when the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data.
How long we keep it
Account details are kept while your account is active. Order and invoice records are kept for at least eight years, as GST and tax laws require. Marketing data is deleted when you withdraw consent.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct or update it, or have it erased where we are not required by law to keep it. You can withdraw consent for marketing at any time, and nominate another person to exercise these rights for you. Write to [GRIEVANCE EMAIL] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
The site uses an encrypted (https) connection, passwords are stored only in hashed form, and access to customer data is limited to staff who need it.
Children
The site is meant for adults. Anyone under 18 should use it with a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the account.
Changes
If we change this policy, the new version will appear on this page with a new date. Important changes will be sent to you by email.
Terms of use
revaroots.com is run by [COMPANY NAME AND ADDRESS] (GSTIN [GSTIN], FSSAI licence [FSSAI NUMBER]), called “Revaroots”, “we” or “us” here. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms and to the policies above.
Revaroots as a store and a marketplace
Some products are sold by Revaroots, and others by independent sellers on Revaroots. The seller of each product is named on the product page and on your invoice. Each seller is responsible for the quality, labelling and legal compliance of what it sells. We check sellers before they can list, handle payments and support, and stand behind the return and refund rules above for every order.
Your account
You must give true details and keep your sign-in codes and password private. You are responsible for orders placed from your account. Tell us at once at [EMAIL] if you think someone else has used it.
Products, prices and orders
- Herbs, roots and seeds are natural products. Size, colour and shape vary from batch to batch. Photos are for illustration.
- Weights shown are net weights. Prices are in Indian rupees and include GST.
- An order is accepted when we confirm it by email. We may limit quantities, and may cancel an order placed at a clearly wrong price, in which case you are refunded in full.
- Offers and coupons have their own conditions, shown with the offer. One coupon applies per order unless stated otherwise.
Reviews and messages
Reviews must be honest, about a product you bought, and free of abuse, personal data and links. We check reviews before they appear and may remove any that break these rules. By posting a review, you allow us to show it on the site and in our promotions, with the name and city you gave.
Things you must not do
Do not misuse the site: no fraud or false orders, no attempts to break its security, no copying of its content or photos for commercial use, no automated scraping, and no reselling of coupon codes.
Health information
Nutrition and health notes on the site are general information, not medical advice. Check the ingredients and allergen information on each pack. Nuts are common allergens, and products may be packed in a unit that handles other nuts, seeds and milk.
Our liability
We are responsible for delivering what you ordered, as described, and for the remedies in these policies. Except where the law does not allow it, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount paid for that order, and we are not liable for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first, and our grievance officer if needed. Disputes are subject to the courts at the place of our registered office, without limiting your right to approach a consumer commission.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The version on this page on the day you order applies to that order. Questions: [EMAIL] or [PHONE], [DAYS AND HOURS].
Seller terms
These terms apply to every seller who lists products on Revaroots, in addition to the terms of use above.
Who can sell
- A business registered in India with a valid FSSAI licence or registration for the products it sells.
- A GSTIN, which is required to sell through an online marketplace.
- A bank account in the business’s name for payouts.
We check every application and reply within [SELLER REPLY DAYS] working days. We may decline an application without giving a reason.
Product standards
- Products must be safe, fresh and exactly as described, with the grade, net weight, price and photos shown truthfully.
- Every pack must carry the labelling the FSSAI regulations require, including the product name, ingredients, allergens, net weight, best-before date, batch or lot number, MRP, and the packer’s name, address and FSSAI number.
- Products must reach the buyer with at least 60% of their shelf life left.
- The selling price may never be above the MRP.
- Every product is approved by Revaroots before it goes live, and again after major changes.
Orders and packing
Sellers must pack every order within 1 to 2 working days, in sealed, food-safe and tamper-evident packaging, and hand it to the courier with the Revaroots packing slip and shipping label. Repeated late dispatch, cancellations or wrong items lead to warnings and may lead to suspension.
Returns
Returns follow the returns policy above. When a return is caused by the seller (damaged, wrong, short, expired or poor-quality product, or poor packing), the seller bears the cost of the product and of the return delivery. Revaroots decides return claims fairly, from the buyer’s photos and the seller’s response, and the seller may respond within 48 hours.
Commission, fees and payouts
Revaroots charges a commission of [COMMISSION RATE] of the selling price of each delivered order, unless a different rate is agreed in writing. [COMMISSION AND FEES]. Payouts are made [PAYOUT SCHEDULE], to the seller’s bank account, after deducting commission, fees, refunds and any tax that Revaroots must collect or deduct as an e-commerce operator under GST law and section 194-O of the Income-tax Act. Each payout has a statement in the seller panel.
Invoices and tax
Each seller is the seller of record for its products. The GST invoice to the buyer is issued in the seller’s name and GSTIN, and the seller is responsible for its own GST returns.
Suspension and ending
Revaroots may hide a product or suspend a seller at once for unsafe or mislabelled food, fake reviews, attempts to take buyers off the platform, or repeated complaints. A seller may stop selling at any time by giving 15 days’ notice and completing all open orders and returns. Amounts owed on either side are settled in the final payout.
Responsibility
The seller is responsible for the products it sells and indemnifies Revaroots against claims, fines and costs caused by its products, labels or breach of law. Sellers must keep buyer details confidential and use them only to fulfil Revaroots orders.
